Confluo: Distributed Monitoring and Diagnosis Stack for High-speed Networks
USENIX NSDI, 2019
Abstract
Confluo is an end-host stack that integrates with network-management tools to monitor and diagnose network-wide events from telemetry distributed across hosts, even on high-speed networks. Its Atomic MultiLog data structure supports highly concurrent reads and writes by exploiting the append-only, fixed-field-size nature of telemetry. For packet sizes of 128 bytes or larger, Confluo executes thousands of triggers and tens of filters at line rate for 10 Gbps links using a single core.
